We do not collect payment information, credit card numbers, or any financial data. We do not collect demographic information such as age or gender.

If you post content in the public chat or on your profile, that information is visible to other logged-in users of the Site.

II. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Verify your email address and deliver transactional emails (verification codes, password resets)
• Display your profile and messages to other members
• Enforce our Community Rules and Terms of Use, including moderation and banning
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, spam, and unauthorized access
• Comply with applicable laws, legal processes, or governmental requests
• Notify you of significant changes to the Site or these policies

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or sale to third parties.

III. Sharing Information with Third Parties

We use third-party infrastructure providers to host and operate the Site. Your data is stored on servers located in the United States managed by our hosting provider. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually prohibited from using your information for any other purpose.

If you connect a third-party account (such as Discord) to your REC.ZONE account, limited profile information may be exchanged with that service in accordance with its own privacy policy. You may disconnect third-party accounts at any time from your profile settings.

We may disclose your information without prior notice if required to do so by law or in good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with legal process; (b) protect the rights or property of REC.ZONE; or (c) protect the safety of users or the public.

IV. Automatically Collected Information

When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and access times. This information is used to operate the service securely, enforce bans, and analyze general usage patterns. It is not sold or shared with advertisers.

V. Cookies and Session Data

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie does not track you across other websites and is not used for advertising. It expires after 7 days of inactivity or when you log out.

You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent you from staying logged in to the Site.

VI. Security of Your Information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, including:

• All connections to the Site are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plaintext

VII. Data Retention and Deletion

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If your account is banned, your profile data is temporarily retained in a secure snapshot for up to 48 hours to allow for administrative review, after which it is permanently deleted.

To request deletion of your account and personal data, contact us at support@rec.zone. We will process your request within a reasonable time. We may retain certain information where required by law or for legitimate security purposes (e.g., IP ban records to prevent repeated abuse).

VIII. Children Under 13

REC.ZONE does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, you must have parental permission to use this Site. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, we will delete it promptly. X. Your Rights (CCPA / US)

XI. Email Communications

We send transactional emails only — account verification codes and password resets. We do not send marketing or promotional emails. You cannot opt out of transactional emails while maintaining an active account, as they are required for account security.

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will post a notice on the Site or send an email to your registered address. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
